Jagex and Gamepires have released today the Smokin' Hot update for the survival game SCUM. This update matches a 60% discount on Steam and brings a complete overhaul of SCUM's male character models, plus new enemies, a new weapon type, and some significant changes to in-game abilities and attributes.
Following the improvements made to the female characters in last year's Call of Beauty update, Smokin' Hot introduces new male character models to SCUM. With this, they have introduced lots of customization options.

After upgrading SCUM to version 0.9, you can find two monstrous enemies in the bunkers: the burly Brenner, who is equipped with a flamethrower; and the agile Razor, which will approach players and slash them with its limbs.
Bunkers have been revised to allow players to increase their Intelligence attribute for the first time. New puzzle mechanics found in bunkers allow players to collect data that can then be exchanged for an Intelligence boost on the Doctor. In addition, a rework has been done so that the Intelligence attribute is more important, since it now influences the experience gain of all player skills.
The Smokin' Hot version of SCUM also introduces some major gameplay improvements, including an experience rebalance that will make players find it easier and more profitable to level up any of his abilities. For those more interested in strength than mind, the update adds the Light Machine Gun, which is a new class of weapon that players will be able to get their hands on.
