Nintendo has announced that Splatoon 2 will have an open beta on March 24-26 for Switch users.

Nintendo has announced that from March 24th to 26th , Nintendo Switch users will have the opportunity to enjoy the multiplayer action of Splatoon 2. During that weekend, there will be a beta testing phase organized by the Japanese company for its players. The beta will be available through the eShop, Nintendo's online store, and a few days prior, players will be able to preload the beta of the online multiplayer shooter.

Any player can join this Global Testfire, which will give them the opportunity to try out four different weapons, including the new Splat Dualies , and the revised Splat Roller and Splat Charger. Currently, this beta phase only has a confirmed schedule for North America, but it's expected to be the same worldwide.

The tests are worldwide, hence the schedules in some cases are not the most comfortable for European players, The game servers will open according to the time and day indicated and they will be able to test the new weapons and the new maps included in this open beta phase.

Splatoon is the newest franchise created by Nintendo, where humanoid squids face off in team battles in various game modes, in paint-shooting combat where the team that paints the most parts of the map is declared the winner.

The sequel to Splatoon 2 does not yet have an official release date, but it will be sometime in 2017.
