Bethesda's Starfield will not be multiplayer and will be released on GamePass

Todd Howard has spoken in an interview about small details of Starfield, the next Bethesda game. It will be a major advance in your Creation Engine.

After having drawn Fallout 76, Bethesda set off to make Starfield, its first new franchise in more than two decades. But little is known about her. That is why the details that have come out of a interview with Todd Howard for the Develop Brighton Conference are of special importance for fans who want to know more about this game.

No multiplayer and the engine has evolved a lot

First of all, Starfield will not have any multiplayer component. It will be a solo experience, which we think many will appreciate seeing what has come out with Fallout 76.

The levels and worlds have been generated in a procedural way initially, worse then they have been worked with to be able to make more quickly several planets that will be larger than the map of Skyrim. They clarify that it does not mean that the levels are generated randomly because everyone will explore the same universe.

Another important point is that progress has been made on the Creation Engine, the engine that Bethesda has used for decades. It has been guilty of many and numerous bugs and that its games can become archaic. But Todd Howard insists that work has been done on his rendering technology, animations, his Artificial Intelligence, procedural generation and more. He comments that all this will make the jump between Skyrim and Starfield much greater than the one from Morrowind to Oblivion.

There is still no date for the game, and Todd Howard took the opportunity to throw a little punch at Cyberpunk 2077. They don't want to be showing trailers on a regular basis and then already announce the release date to have to delay it. And one more thing he has made clear: both Starfield and the sequel to Skyrim will be available from launch on Xbox Game Pass.
