Steam fixes a bug for all three users with more than 25 games

Only three people in the world have more than 25 games on their Steam account, and these three suffered from a bug. Valve has fixed a bug they were experiencing despite the fact that it is unlikely that many more people will experience it.

With the vast number of games that Steam has, and how cheap thousands of games get to be for sale, it is not impossible for someone to accumulate tens of thousands of digital games in their account. This small and negligible possibility will not have crossed your mind to Valve and thanks to a few users they have seen a bug when they went over 25 games on the account.

A bug fixed that only affects three users

The latest beta update to the Steam client includes a fix for “a possible crash for users with around 25.000 games or more«So if you somehow own half of the 50+ games available for sale on Steam, you might want to enable the Steam beta or wait for the next client update.

According to the Steam API trackers, only three people in the world have more than 25 games in their Steam library. There are GT000, from Russia, with 4 games, Sonix from China, with 25 games, and Dwight Schrute from the United States, with 996 games. At least that's what the tracker shows because their actual counts on Steam may vary because of how the API works with DLC and apps, but you also have to keep in mind that those three users are the only ones with so many games with their public profile.

It is still curious that Steam fixes a bug that only affects less than a dozen people. Likewise, if someone arrives in a few weeks to have half of the Steam games, they should not find that bug that blocks the client.
