In that documentary about the construction of the world, they showed how the environment will evolve over time, as well as the main inspirations on which the horror of the game is based. Elements such as the time and the geographical location of the oil platform where the game takes place play a crucial role in this horror story. The team developed a fascination with cranes and scoured British Petroleum's documentary archives while striving for an authentic depiction of a Scottish oil rig in the 1970s.
