Geoff Keighly is going to do his own version of E3 and learning from the mistakes of the fair. Most importantly, the Summer Game Fest will be entirely digital and will last all summer.
Due to the challenges of moving large numbers of people in an enclosed space and the loss of the creative team, there will be no E3 this year . But it was impossible to imagine that in this digital age, after spending a decade or more following the conferences via livestreams at home, we would be left without an announcement season, that this tradition would end without seeking alternatives.
A summer full of video game announcements and events
Geoff Kieghley, former video game reporter for outlets such as GameTrailers and the creative behind The Game Awards, announced the Summer Game Fest a few days ago. It is a series of events that will “celebrate the medium of video games” throughout the summer.
What's more, one of their events has already begun: a live concert by Diplo was held in Fortnite . And it won't be the only event of this kind, as the organizers assure us that more events are coming between May and August. Four months of events in video games and beyond.

A selection of great editors that would easily represent what E3 was going to be. Of course, Nintendo is missing, which seems to be delaying the Nintendo Direct that it was going to have in June due to problems adapting to remote work.

And from the trailers that Keighley has shown, everything indicates that throughout the Summer Game Fest we will see the Xbox Series X in detail. To that will be added digital content, in response to Geoff Keighley considering that going to a convention center , paying admission and waiting in line to play a game is a delay in this digital world we are in.
The Steam Game Festival is one of the organized events, which will last from June 9 to 14 and we will be able to try content that would then only be available to attendees of E3 at E3.
