Jason Schreier has voiced another story of how CD Projekt has been crunching for a long time working on Cyberpunk 2077. An alleged worker has shared his story on Reddit.

The story of the close relationship between Cybeprunk 2077 and the crunch they suffer adds a new chapter. Faced with accusations that he has exaggerated stories when crunch reported to end game weeks agoBloomberg's Jason Schreier commented that six-hour work weeks were never voluntary. CD Projekt RED would have very serious management problems

It should be said that what we put now are words from an unverified Reddit user. We take these statements into account because Scherier has given him a voice on social media and they coincide with statements from former company employees and previous reports of their working conditions.

First of all, it is worth mentioning that the administration never asked them if they preferred to delay the game or work more days so as not to delay Cyberpunk 2077. The crunch would have started in May of last year.when management realized they had to play the game» and they were then about to leave Alpha.

He said they'd been doing pre-production for two years before the crunch instead of getting serious. For months the workers asked the administration what would happen if they couldn't deliver the game on time. And until December of last year they were told that there was no alternative and the crunch was inevitable. The employee expressed the miscommunication in the company saying that they learned about both Cyberpunk 2077 delays and the Gold phase through news on Twitter before they were personally communicated in an email.

There would be teams that have been doing 16-hour shifts every day since June of last year, and others for another year. And this wouldn't be an unexpected crunch given how ambitious Cyberpunk 2077 is, because the whole story also applies to the development of The Witcher III.
