The Signal proposes a survival game based on sustainability

Two years after development studio Goose Byte was first spotted, today they have announced the first details of their first game The Signal. Goose Byte delves into the open world survival genre, with a title focused on the creativity of the player over violence.

The Signal, which is being developed in Unreal Engine 5 for consoles and for PC, it will be based on three fundamental pillars: exploration, invention and survival. Focused on the creation of handcrafted user-generated content, it will set itself apart from other titles in the genre by its recipe exchange system and its sustainable theme, compared to the colonization and extraction of resources that is usually the standard in the genre.

The Signal promises to be a survival game focused on sustainability

In the survival game The Signal we will venture into an alien planet with multiple biomes full of strange structures and a sensitive ecosystem that seems to react to our every move. We will explore, create and survive as we decide to tame the flora and fauna of this strange planet, or coexist with your new home.

We will have the chance to explore the alien rocks, flora, fauna and landmarks as we familiarize ourselves with this strange new world. We will be able to invent and share infrastructures, vehicles and equipment that help us solve challenges and puzzles. We will have to master the art of sustainable management of the planet and its resources while playing long-term, alone or with up to 16 players on dedicated player-hosted servers.

What if we could re-make the choices we’ve made here on Earth? Are we, as humans, capable of learning from our past mistakes? The choice is up to you and how you choose to play The Signal.
