Ubisoft will no longer offer early access to its games with special editions

Ubisoft is no longer selling us the Early Access power to their games three days before the release date. They are going to focus on improving their season passes instead.

From now on, Ubisoft games will no longer have as a reserve or special edition gift to play three days before their official release. They have found that this does not benefit their games and they focus on selling Early Access rather than quality and quantity.

This is according to a statement that various people in the industry have received and that has reported analyst Daniel Ahmad. According to ubisoft, since they announced Watch Dogs: Legion last year, they have been working on the game and the contents of the special editions.

But they have seen that early access to games like Watch Dogs Legion as a reward for booking or paying more brought them many problems. Instead of letting us play a game three days earlier in exchange for paying more, what they will give us is more story content and cosmetics in the season pass that is already included in the special editions that that early access sold.
