A cartoonist tried to accuse Epic of plagiarizing a character of his to create Taro, but it was a montage

Epic Games has caught numerous popular dances for Fortnite, but so far they haven't plagiarized to create characters. A DeviantArt cartoonist tried to accuse them of plagiarism but it was found to be a hoax.

Epic Games has received numerous lawsuits for plagiarism and intellectual property misuse, primarily for using dances to sell in Fortnite. Yesterday an accusation of misuse could be added when creating the character of Taro, one of the many skins of the game that are for sale.

Attempt at very serious accusation, but this time there has been no plagiarism by the creators of Fortnite

It all started when yesterday, a cartoonist said that Epic Games had taken a design of a character that he created in the summer of 2017. That design would be very similar to Taro, a skin that they put on sale in November. By the time everything seemed that Epic Games was going to win another lawsuit for the misuse of foreign material.

But then it turned out that it was all a hoax on the part of the cartoonist. It could be seen thanks to the Google cache that in effect, the DeviantArt link in which the alleged plagiarized character was existed, but it was not the design that would be plagiarized to create Taro. In its place was a totally different drawing.

The accusation was able to get ahead because DeviantArt allows you to upload a different image to replace the previous upload in case there are errors or sufficient changes, without changing the upload date. That made it look like years ago a design almost identical to Taro's was uploaded in Fortnite. But thanks to the Google cache, as some curious have pointed out, the deceit attempt by the cartoonist was seen and the accusation cannot go further.
