Riot Games is gearing up for Valorant Act III, which will begin on October 14th in Spain. This update will bring significant changes, including the addition of a new map: Icebox.

The Icebox game map is an abandoned Kingdom research facility in arctic wilderness. It has zip lines so that players can develop new strategies. The two objective areas of Icebox are designed to favor teams that bet on ambushes, have good aim and know how to adapt to changes and inconveniences.
It will be available from the first day of Act III but competitive games will begin to be played from October 27. Riot has advanced the release of the new map due to community demand in exchange for the new agent arriving two weeks later to make sure it works well on the map.
Act III of Valorant will also bring changes to the competitive mode.
- They will be able to upgrade their Act Rank Emblem in the next competitive act.
- Competitive Queue rank disparity reduced from 6 to 3 to improve matchmaking.
- You can select the preferred server to improve ping and avoid lag between players.
- Rank up or down in games of Immortal rank and above depends exclusively on wins and losses.
Lastly, Act 3 of Valorant will feature a new Battle Pass for which the progress of weekly missions has been adjusted. This is expected to unlock content more quickly, and more epilogue levels have been added for those who dedicate many hours of play to Valorant.
