Valve acquires the independent studio Campo Santo, developers of Firewatch

The small independent studio Campo Santo, which became very popular for its game Firewatch, has been acquired by Valve and everything indicates that they will continue to work independently.

Quite interesting fact comes to us from the United States. The independent studio Campo Santo, developers of the Firewatch title, has been acquired by Valve in an operation of which we had no prior knowledge. Valve, which once started making games, does now rather recently, since Steam, if it is a digital store, works like a charm and they don't need to get into game development. In addition, the Counter Strike Global Offensive continues to generate income and its Market of loot objects is a gold mine.

A source has commented to the medium Kotaku, which at the moment Valve has no intention of making changes in Campo Santo, so its workers will not be absorbed and sent to other projects (if they have any). The developers of this independent study already have great benefits, as there are reports that the workers of this small study attended Valve's annual retreat, held in Hawaii. Campo Santo was born in 2013 and its success has been the adventure game Firewatch, which debuted in February 2016. The Roadmap of this study indicates that In the Valley of Gods is in development, which will be presented next year.
