War Robots continues to grow and celebrates 250 million registered players
Developer MY.GAMES has announced that its mobile game War Robots has surpassed 250 million registered players across all platforms. The game is currently available on the App Store, Google Play, and Steam.
War Robots celebrated its ninth anniversary in April 2023, and has generated over $750 million in gross revenue to date. It remains one of the world's highest-rated tactical shooters on the App Store and Google Play.
War Robots grows unstoppable with a quarter of a billion players
Last year saw over 30 million new players across all platforms . This represents a 40% increase compared to the previous year. 2022 was also War Robots' most successful year on Google Play, with 50% more installs than in 2021.
In terms of demographics, War Robots players come from all over the world, with the United States being the most popular. It is also popular in developing markets, such as India and Mexico, which have doubled their revenue share. Mexico now accounts for almost 7,5% of all Android revenue and is War Robots' second-largest market on this platform. Both India and Mexico are also among the top five territories in terms of installs since its launch on Google Play.
To maintain this player base, the game receives nine updates per year. In 2020, it received a complete graphical remaster and was showcased at an Apple event. Leaderboards were introduced in 2022, and a PvE mode was added this year. The development team boasts an active community of millions of players, many of whom are loyal, with over 6 million reportedly playing for more than two years.
