WoW Classic The Burning Crusade Server Coming June 1

After the success of the WoW Classic server, Blizzard will make one dedicated to the first expansion, The Burning Crusade. It will arrive on the first day of June.

Two years ago the experiment of bringing back an outdated version of World of Waracrft that we know today as WoW Classic was successful. Made to bring back players who believed that the World of Warcraft experience was better at the time and had better rewards. It was a hit on Twitch for weeks and now Blizzard is releasing a Classic server of The Burning Crusade on June 1.

The Burning Crusade is back

This first expansion was originally released in 2007, 14 years ago, and was the first of many expansions that World of Warcraft has received, with Shadowlands being the most recent. Given that the WoW Classic server has been quite successful, despite being designed for a small niche of the game's users, Blizzard has decided to launch one that will host the state of the game at the time of the release of the first expansion, The Burning Crusade.

It will arrive on June 1, although on May 18 there will be a pre-patch to fine-tune the game client and that does not give incompatibilities. Starting on the first day of June, players who want to test the state of World of Warcraft as of when the first expansion came out will be able to try this preservation exercise that Blizzard is offering.

Given the success of the WoW Classic server, we can expect many World of Warcraft and Blizzard influencers to stream and create videos dedicated to it, and for events to be repeated that ultimately demonstrate how World of Warcraft has progressed in terms of gameplay experience and quality of life. It's worth remembering that issues that were already present in the original version were reported as bugs at the time.

We can also expect this trend of pulling Classic servers out of World of Warcraft expansions to continue with some from The Wrath of the Lich King released in 2008, Cataclysm released in 2010, Mists of Pandaria released in 2012, Warlords of Draenor released in 2014, Legion released in 2016 and when the time comes, the Battle for Azeroth expansion released in 2018.
