XPG launches its GAMMIX S50 Lite PCIe Gen4 M.2 2280 SSD

The XPG brand that is a provider of systems, components and peripherals designed for gamer and more, today announces the XPG GAMMIX S50 Lite PCIe Gen4x4 M.2 2280 SSD.

With the advent of 5G networks and the increasing volume of data being processed, the PCIe Gen4 interface is a critical upgrade that promises to take storage devices to the next level. The S50 Lite extends the GAMMIX S50 series with a new option for primary users who want to take advantage of the capabilities of the PCIe 4.0 protocol.

More high-capacity SSDs with PCIe 4.0 protocol

With an SMI SM2267 controller, the latest PCIe Gen4 interface, and support for NVMe 1.4, the S50 Lite can achieve sustained read / write performance of up to 3900/3200 / MB / s. It also offers random read and write performance of up to 490K / 540KIOPS, giving users the advantage of accelerated data transmissions for improved productivity and entertainment.

With the SM2267 controller and optimized thermal design, the S50 Lite stays cool. Specifically, up to twenty percent cooler, to give greater stability. Combined with the SLC Cy dynamic pain, the host memory buffer, the S50 Lite promises to deliver superior performance over SATA SSDs.

XPG's S50 Lite SSD is backward compatible with the PCIe 3.0 for ease of use and user comfort. It also supports LDPC error correcting code technology to detect and correct a more complete range of data errors for more accurate data transfers and a higher Total Byte Written (TBW) rating. In addition, with end-to-end (E2E) data protection, support for RAID engines and 256-bit AES Encryption, the S50 Lite ensures the security and integrity of our data. The manufacturer promises us that all components of the S50 Lite have undergone meticulous screening, testing and certification to provide a reliable product. The S50 Lite SSD comes in 1TB and 2Tb variants and is backed by a 5-year warranty.
