A leaker has just revealed three important features for Windows 11 that Microsoft hasn't yet announced and that could arrive later this year. As always, when a leaker is involved, it's important to keep in mind that the information may be outdated or incorrect.
The user @thebookisclosed has posted several Twitter threads showcasing the new features in action. These include a sticker option for the desktop background, improvements to Windows 11's tablet mode , and changes to notifications. None of these features are actually live and were enabled through a debug menu. Their release may or may not be finalized, so we'll have to wait for official announcements from Microsoft.
Future features of Windows 11
The new sticker options would be intended to liven up a wallpaper and make it more visually appealing. A much appreciated feature from old Windows that allowed you to oppose animated elements such as images as part of the desktop.
Regarding improvements to tablet mode in Windows 11 , a feature from Windows 10 would be brought back , allowing the taskbar to be hidden. This feature is already in development and would provide more space for tablet mode, making it more comfortable to use. The tablet market has seen a resurgence due to the pandemic, highlighting the need to make tablets powerful and user-friendly.
Windows 11’s Focus Assistant is reportedly being renamed “Focus,” and Microsoft is also adding more granular notification options. As part of this, notification priorities are no longer hidden away and are more visible. There could also be a “sustainability” option, which would do a device analysis and comment on the best options for recycling it, obviously focused on laptops.
