Windows 7 is the most used OS on Steam and AMD is still in free fall in terms of hardware
Windows 7 rises in the number of users on Steam, thanks to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds players in China, while on hardware, AMD continues to sink.
The Steam hardware survey, as every month leaves interesting data, in this case, about the most used operating system and what is reigning in the market in the month of October. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is a great game that is sweeping China and this has caused the number of users with Windows 7 to increase significantly, due to the serious privacy problems of the version of Windows 10 released by Microsoft in the country , specifically the Windows 10 China Government version.
This situation has caused Windows 7 to increase by 22.45% in the month of October, having a share of 64.9%, while Windows 10 has fallen in terms of share by 18.6%, which represents a share of 28.81% . In other fields, Steam data shows that 55% of users have 8GB of RAM and 70% of processors have four cores, while the resolution used by 71% of users play 1080p, while 4KJ is a practically residual resolution.
Regarding processors, it stands out that 90% of users make use of Intel processors, while the six-core and eight-core processors, which could be Ryzen, are residual processors, with a clear setback in both cases, without reaching 1 % in each of the two cases. Regarding graphics, 81.4% of graphics cards are from NVIDIA, compared to 10.84% from AMD. We see that the GTX 960 (13.13%) is the most popular, followed by the GTX 750 Ti (12.91%) and finally we have the GTX 1060 (11.4%). The RX Vega due to the constant lack of stock do not appear on the list, because to appear on this list you must have a quota equal to or greater than 0.29% and apparently they do not reach this figure.
