Virtual Reality won't be important on Xbox Scarlett

Xbox Scarlett will hit the market next year, which will be the most powerful Xbox to date, even more so than the Xbox One X released a couple of years ago. It is expected to have many innovations and novelties in the technical field, which would give us more ways and possibilities to play games.
We know that one of its pillars will be xbox game pass, with which we will have access to dozens of complete games, including all Xbox Game Studios games. There's also xCloud, Microsoft's own cloud gaming service, which we know will work across mobile, Xbox, and Windows 10.
No VR on the next XBox, it seems
But one thing that doesn't seem like a priority for Microsoft right now is Virtual Reality. When they announced Project Scorpio, which would eventually be turned into the Xbox One X, they said it would be powerful enough to enable VR headsets like the Oculus Rift, clearly rivaling PlayStation 4's PlayStation VR. But that idea never materialized in the end.
At the time they discarded it because they did not see its viability but the community and technology has developed so much that not putting it on Xbox Scarlett would be almost a mistake. And it would not be necessary for them to make their own helmets but to recover the idea that it is compatible with Valve Index or the new versions of Oculus.

But even so, Virtual Reality will not have a presence on Xbox Scarlett. Phil Spencer commented that unfortunately, it is still not one of the focuses and innovations that they seek to have in their console. It does not mean that they will never put it, but we imagine that if they do, it will be when the console has been on the market for years and they have seen if Virtual Reality really takes hold and is accessible according to their eyes.
