Who is Satoshi Nakamoto, creator of Bitcoin?

One of the great mysteries of the world of cryptocurrencies is who created Bitcoin, a true enigma about the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto.

Although many names have appeared over time and many have wanted to be recognized as such, even today it is unknown who created Bitcoin. Many have spent hours reading, rereading and comparing different information, but it is impossible to say at present for sure who Satoshi Nakamoto is and there is a possibility that we will never know his true identity.

Who created Bitcoin is one of the biggest enigmas of today.

Although the creator of Bitcoin has an anonymous identity, there are many working groups that continue to develop the software and improve it to add more security and scalability. The community around this cryptocurrency is the largest and most active and is the one that most attention is focused on. Bitcoin is commonly referred to when talking about cryptocurrencies in general, but in reality it is one of many thousands of digital currencies, although it has the particularity of being the first to be developed.

Satoshi Nakamoto is an alias that appeared on October 30, 2008 on the cryptographic mailing list metzdowd.com, which is characterized as an anonymous mailing list that does not store personal data such as IP, geolocation and other parameters that would allow the user to reach behind the bill.

In the initial email I published the idea of a decentralized digital currency between users, where a managing entity or trusted third party was not needed to control and validate transactions, but rather proposed the blockchain and proof of work for validation.

On the identity of Nakamoto many names have been shuffled, among the most consistent is that of Hal Finney, an American programmer who was among the first to execute the code and who helped correct many errors; Nick Szabo, a computer engineer and lawyer who postulated the theory of Smart Contracts or Wei Dai, a computer engineer and programmer who developed the first idea of digital currency based on cryptography.

During this time there are many names that have appeared as possible creators of Bitcoin, but some have discarded it and others have not provided evidence. Craig Wright, an Australian computer engineer, ran as Nakamoto providing evidence that has been rejected by Laszlo Hayneck, Charlie Lee or Vitalik Buterin among others and ridiculed on the networks, although he continues to be Nakamoto. Elon Musk has also been postulated as Nakamoto, although the creator of Tesla or SpaceX among others discarded it.

Even Newsweek magazine published that it was actually Dorian Satoshi Nakamoto, a computer engineer from the United States who had worked for banks and the government. Dorian flatly ruled out being the creator of Bitcoin, although he has gained a lot of fame as a result of being an event and even gives talks and lectures on Bitcoin and all the hype.

The fact of who created Bitcoin is a great mystery and there is another theory that points out that it is not a person, but a set of people, since not only computer programmers are needed to develop the idea, but also mathematicians, physicists would be needed and economists. Who knows if one day we will know who created Bitcoin.
