The AMD processor catalog continues to expand with specific solutions for notebook computers. Specifically, the Ryzen 3000 C-Series and Athlon 3000 C-Series processors have been presented. The processors are specifically intended for Chromebooks from Acer, ASUS, HP and Lenovo that will be launched in the last quarter of the year. These processors promise up to 212% more performance than previous generation Chromebooks with AMD CPUs.
For those who still do not know what a Chromebook is, they are laptops with a good relationship between performance and price. These laptops are based on the Google ChromeOS operating system, which is directly destined for the cloud. They are mainly used in education, due to their great versatility.

New Ryzen 3000 C-Series and Athlon 3000 C-Series processors
The new Ryzen 3000 C-Series processors are characterized by having 4 cores and 8 threads, 6MB of L3 cache and a TDP of 15W. These two processors differ in working frequency and in integrated graphics. The Athlon 3000C-Series range from 2 cores and 4 threads to 2 cores and 2 threads. These solutions have fairly discrete graphics, all three have 5MB of L3 cache and have a TDP of 15W.
AMD Ryzen 3000 C-Series Zen + @ 12nm:
- Ryzen 7 3700C: 4 cores + 8 processing threads @ 2.30 / 4.00 GHz with 6MB L3 cache, AMD Radeon Vega 10 graphics with 640 Stream Processors @ 1.40 GHz and a TDP of 15W.
- Ryzen 5 3500C: 4 cores + 8 processing threads @ 2.10 / 3.70 GHz with 6MB L3 cache, AMD Radeon Vega 8 graphics with 512 Stream Processors @ 1.20 GHz and a TDP of 15W.
AMD Athlon 3000 C-Series Zen @ 14nm
