Intel is already thinking about Intel Ice Lake processors, the company's first based on 10nm, which will provide a reduction in consumption and an improvement in power, making them highly efficient.
The AMD Ryzen processors have been a blow to Intel, who has lived two years very comfortably. Intel is reacting and is not only working on the eighth generation Coffee Lake processors, which will hit the market shortly, but the next Intel Ice Lake processors have been announced on the company's portal, which will be the first processors of Intel on the 10nm architecture. Intel has had some trouble developing this manufacturing process, but it has finally developed it and the result is Ice Lake.
It will be next August 21 when Intel will release the details of what will be the next processors it will launch on the market, the eighth generation, the Coffee Lake, a rehash of the Kaby Lake. Details of the Cannon Lake will also be given, the 10nm processors that will offer great performance and an improvement in energy efficiency, directly intended for laptops, while the Coffee Lake will be those intended for desktop computers. Ice Lake refers to the set of processors and the 10nm architecture.
“The Ice Lake family of processors will succeed the eighth generation of Intel Core processors. These processors use the innovative 10nm + manufacturing technology ”, explains on its Intel website. We do not know what that '10nm +' refers to, but it is possible that all the details will be given in the presentation. Intel is also immersed in the launch of new processors, such as the Intel Basins Falls, of which four Intel Skylake-X remain to reach the market. It seems that Intel doesn't want to lose an inch of ground against AMD processors.

this sounds to me like coffe is not going to come at all well
Terrible ... I don't like having one processor after another, many people applaud AMD for moving the sector so much, but I lived through the "war of the Mhz" to now have a "war of the cores".
Unfortunately Intel got into the AMD game and buying a processor like a core i7 2600k and lasting more than 5 years is in the past.
I think that if you buy a ryzen 7 1700 for about € 300 it can last 4-5 years, another thing if you buy an i7 7700 that… surely in a few years it will be very short.
Well, I have an i5 3570K and it is not at all short.
Ami has fed me so much generation, if you want to upgrade, buy another motherboard generally and it is not funny.
