The OnePlus 5 sweeps the GeekBench benchmark
The OnePlus 5 has been discovered in GeekBench, its passage through this benchmark has left many victims, as it destroys the Galaxy S8 + and the iPhone 7 Plus in performance.
A couple of hours ago we talked about the filtering of some images where the sketches with the design of the OnePlus 5. Now we have known, thanks to GSMarena, the performance of this new terminal in the GeekBench benchmark. As the OnePlus 3 and 3T did last year, this new OnePlus 5 sweeps its performance, surpassing by a wide margin the Samsung Galaxy S8 +, Huawei Mate 9 and iPhone 7 Plus, which are considered the most powerful mobiles on the market today, along with the already named OnePlus 3T.

As we can see in the results, the OnePlus 5 obtains a mono-core score of 1.963 points, just between the two S8 + models, and far from the iPhone 7 Plus that, with its A10 and its operating system, plays in another league with those. 3.473. This is a result that currently does not matter much, since most applications use more than one kernel.

The benchmark that matters is the multi-core, the OnePlus 5 yields a result of 6.687 points. Placing in first position, beating the Galaxy S8 + that mounts the Exynos 8895 by 312 points, the S8 + with the Snapdragon 835 in 603 points and the iPhone 7 Plus in 1.023.

According to rumors, this performance is achieved by riding a Soc Snapdragon 835, the same as the S8 + which scores more than 600 points. Along with this chip could be up to 8 GB of RAM. All this hardware, running the operating system Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the customization layer Oxygen OS, which is really optimized for this terminal and with which the OnePlus people are doing a magnificent job, which is why this smartphone makes so much difference to the Samsung Galaxy S8 + having both the same Soc.
