Filtered first details of the NVIDIA RTX 40
The leaked NVIDIA RTX 40s would have a new architecture known as Ada Lovelace in honor of the creator of the first analytical machine. They will be 5nm, according to leaker Greymon55, which has already leaked a lot of data from NVIDIA and AMD GPUs in the past.
Greymon55 claims that NVIDIA will launch its GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards based on the Ada Lovelace GPU architecture. The Ada Lovelace GPUs will replace the Ampere line and will be based on TSMC 's 5nm process node . Unlike AMD's RDNA 3 line, the GPUs will maintain a monolithic design, and while TSMC's 5nm process is mentioned, it's unclear whether the standard N5 or N5P node will be used.
The RTX 30 have barely come out and the 40 are now coming
Some of this information is backed by Kopite7kimi, a more reliable leaker that has been successful with its previous leaks. It previously stated that NVIDIA's next-gen GPUs will be based on a 5nm compute node, but NVIDIA will have a tough choice to make. Ada Lovelace GPUs are primarily an architecture designed to get the best out of gaming, but there are rumors that this architecture would lag behind RDNA 3 in terms of performance. NVIDIA is expected to do its best with its power budget to achieve higher performance levels than AMD.
If in the event that Ada Lovelace cannot fight or outperform AMD's RDNA 3 GPUs, NVIDIA is said to cancel the entire Ada Lovelace line and go straight to Hopper, which is its own MCM GPU architecture.
Rumors also point to its launch by the end of 2022. Everything points to the fact that after the high demand from miners to mine cryptocurrencies, they want to make GPUs directly designed for players so as not to neglect that market and not depend on sales by part of a highly fluctuating market.
