AMD Radeon RX 6700M 'Navi 22' is better than an NVIDIA RTX 3070
Through unofficial means, the first benchmarks of the Navi-based AMD Radeon RX 6700M RDNA 2 GPU have already been released. The benchmarks were posted on Zhihu and reveal that at stake, the performance of the AMD Radeon RX 6700M is faster than NVIDIA RTX 3070, the former being a GPU for laptops.
The AMD Radeon RX 6700M is one of the two graphics chips that makes use of the Navi 22 GPU model, alongside the RX 6800M. It is available in the MSI DELTA 15 laptop, which is an AMD Advantage certified gaming laptop that includes the Ryzen 9 5900HX CPU and 16GB of DDR4-3200 memory. The benchmark was compared to the Razer Blade 14 laptop with the Ryzen 9 5900HX GPU and NVIDIA RTX 3070MQ. They also warn us that laptops have different cooling designs and different TDP for CPU / GPU, so you have to take this data a bit with tweezers and not blindly take it as absolute.

The AMD Radeon RX 6700M is also based on the Navi 22 GP, but has a reduced 2304-core chip. It comes with the same 2,3 GHz clock speeds, but features a 160-bit reduced memory bus interface for a total of 10 GB of GDDR6 memory capacity and also only 80 MB of Infinity Cache. With its TGP range of up to 135W, it will be aimed at playing modern games in 1440p and 1080p resolutions. They advise that the AMD Radeon RX 6700M comes in three versions of TDP: 135W, 110W and 80W.
A negative point of the Razer Blade 14 with which it has been compared is that it has its memory soldered to the motherboard, which makes it perform worse than the SO-DIMM modules included in the MSI DELTA 15. Returning to the graph for laptops of AMD is around 9% faster on average and up to 30% faster than the NVIDIA RTX 3070 with 37,5% more power rating than the NVIDIA RTX 3070. But the RTX 3070 is slightly more efficient in terms of overall performance numbers.
In the 3DMark Time Spy Synthetic benchmarks, the AMD Radeon RX 6700M scores 9854 points with the latest drivers. the notebook overall scores 9837 points, making it a good option with mobility and good for gaming.
