Pure Storage shows its innovations at Accelerate Madrid 2023 and how they serve large state organizations

As part of an event in Madrid under the name Pure Accelerate 2023, Pure Storage has shown its news regarding its future as a mass storage hardware and services company and related services. Last week they announced that they have expanded their portfolio of Evergreen products and services with the introduction of a commitment to pay themselves for the power and rack space costs of certain subscriptions.

This decision is due to They want to be on par with other cloud services in the cost section. Thus, maintenance costs for the user are reduced and for budgets, the Pure Storage option will be much more attractive. They have also introduced new guarantees of no data migration, zero data loss and greater energy and space efficiency, plus flexible upgrades and financing, across the Evergreen portfolio.

In addition to commitments to pay for energy and racks, and to improve energy and space efficiency, they have introduced a new series of future-proof business guarantees. No Data Migration and Zero Data Loss guarantees seek to mitigate unplanned costs from data loss incidents, while maintaining business operations amidst upgrades. Looking for Ensure data protection with advanced data recovery services for any incident at no cost. For its part, the non-data migration guarantee guarantees technological updates without interruptions or data migrations, to reduce risks, the cost of ownership and electronic waste.

For its part, the commitment to upgrades and flexible financing seeks to eliminate major upgrades and offer more options. Pure Storage's Ever Agile program includes a more controlling capacity sharing program, and the capacity consolidation program includes expanded capacity sharing credits. The latest updates provide flexible access to the latest innovations in performance, density and energy efficiency.

Data resiliency improvements

have also been announced new data resiliency offerings for the companies. Among those offerings are Pure Protect//DRaaS, a unique disaster recovery-as-a-service solution with new energy efficiency guarantees and AI-powered storage services through its Pure1 management platform.

This, together with the aforementioned commitments, Pure Storage seeks that companies can adopt a complete and comprehensive storage strategy while ensuring data resilience. They also seek to reduce labor costs, accelerate sustainability initiatives and offer advantages in terms of total cost of ownership.

Pure Protect //DRaaS is this new consumption-based data resilience solution that reduces the complexity, costs, recovery time and business disruption associated with disasters and cyber disruptions. A Data Resilience Score, in the Pure1 Data Protection Assessment; provides greater transparency on technology adoption data protection and backup. It also allows you to evaluate the configurations of entire fleets, comparing them with the most advanced practices.

A Zero Data Loss Guarantee promises that data is not lost due to hardware or software problems. In the rare event that data becomes corrupted, Pure Storage ensures data protection with advanced data recovery services at no cost.

Pure Storage as part of the solution to the challenges faced by large institutions

As part of the Pure Accelerate 2023 event in Madrid, there was a closed press session with two Pure Storage clients. They spoke at length about how their services allow them to operate in the face of technological challenges. These clients were Félix Hernánz Beltrán, colonel of the Army of the Spanish Ministry of Defense; and Valentín García Souto, innovation director of Lantik, Technology and Innovation Society of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.

Félix Hernanz Beltrán commented on how he commands the Army's systems testing and validation center. There, a large storage capacity is necessary due to the growing amount of data that is generated, with more than 35 GB of data per day that must be organized and protected. There are three legs to its current technological agenda. The first is "the force“, so there is a brigade that tests the systems. There are also the programs, which include a combat cloud and drones to provide 5G coverage. Finally, there is the logistics to store all the data that is generated, with a logistics base designed to make predictive logistics. The third leg that he mentioned is that of an efficient digital transformation, so that legacy systems cannot be allowed to slow down development or operations.

Valentín García Souto explained that, given the needs of a regional community, Lantik applied as the first public technology society in the state. It is one of the few that has centralized all public sector technology, so that they provide services to the Provincial Council, the Parliament and almost all the town councils of Bizkaia, except Bilbao. They have data repositories from the institutions, and a comprehensive treasury. By not having legacy devices and not working with a host, they have saved a large amount of legacy money that has allowed them to carry out innovation projects. This year they have united the billing devices, so that for each invoice that is made, the regional agency knows about them for the taxation of each quarter. They also monitor people in need so that they can be at home and not be referred to a residence, which ends up saving a large amount of money for the public coffers. With all these needs, they commented that this is what has made them trust Pure Storage, because if there is a system outage, no matter how small, the problems that are generated are almost incalculable.
