RTX 4060 would be like an RTX 3070 but more efficient

With the recent launch of the RTX 4090, and the future of the 4080, it is expected that little by little we will receive the lower-end GPUs. the next would be the RTX 4070, which would be the 4080 GB RTX 12 that was cancelled, and then it would be the RTX 4060, the mid-range of the 4000 family, which is expected to have at least a notable increase over the RTX 3060 .

Nvidia is currently working on completing the RTX 40 series line of desktop graphics cards. Currently, RTX 4070 Ti rumored to be announced in January. An accurate guess would put the RTX 4060 in June, with a significant increase in performance and efficiency.

The RTX 4060 would be a nice step up from the RTX 3060

Nvidia has yet to officially announce an RTX 4060 and we don't know the expected GPU specs either. Even so, insiders and leakers capable of making a fairly educated guess and accurate assumptions. Wolstame, a director of product planning at Lenovo China, recently shared his expectations for the RTX 4060. According to him, it includes a performance increase to the level of the RTX 3070, with efficiency gains as well.

In an online discussion, Wolstame shared his estimates for the RTX 4060, which include a 20% performance boost over the RTX 3060 to deliver similar performance to an RTX 3070. power efficiency relative to the RTX 10 to put the GPU in the 3060-140W range. If these guesses are correct, we should start hearing about the RTX 180 in the second quarter of next year.

It was expected that it would have a performance close to the RTX 3070, but above all I am glad to know that it will have better energy efficiency. The issue of electrical consumption begins to be decisive for users who do not even want their electricity bill to increase, nor deal with a change of power supply.
