Intel announces M.2 SSDs, Intel 760p and Intel 660p, with NVMe technology

Intel announces the Intel 760p and Intel 660p drives, M.2 SSDs with NVMe technology, which have been developed to offer great performance and features.

Intel currently has several tough fronts open, but the company can't afford to waste a second in the industry. Although they are immersed in the development of solutions based on powerful 3DXpoint memories, they continue to work on other storage solutions, in this case the company has presented two Intel 760p and Intel 660p units, which are two new M.2 SSD units. but in this case NVMe. They are presented as advanced solutions, which promise excellent performance.

Data has only been given on the performance of the Intel 760p units, which will arrive in capacities of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB. Regarding the 128GB units, we must say that they will be the slowest, but it does not mean that they have poor performance, far from it. This unit will reach 1500MB / s in terms of read speed and in writing it will reach 650MB / s, while in 4K random performance, both in reading and writing it reaches 100.000IOPS.

If we look at the 256GB model, we see that it reaches a read speed of 2900MB / s and a write speed of 1300MB / s, speeds that are already similar to the best NVMe drives that can be found on the market. On the rest of the units, these reach 3200MB / s of sequential reading, while in 4K writing they reach 350.000IOPS.

We are talking about high-performance units, designed for advanced users who want a high-performance and high-performance computer. Not much more data has been given regarding these units, which will arrive sometime in February, although the specific date or price of these new units has not been specified.
