The Liberal Student Association will soon organize the Decentralized Hackathon, an online event for blockchain development worldwide. It will be held on the weekends from 21 to 23, and from 28 to 30 July. This hackathon will have dissemination challenges, a documentation challenge and programming challenges; all of them related to blockchain technology.
The Decentralized Hackathon emerged as an ALE initiative to foster talent and innovation in the blockchain field. Originally, the hackathon was part of Open Games Con, the largest in-person blockchain event in Southern Europe, but this event has been postponed to September 20, 21, and 22 due to the general elections in Spain.
The next edition of the Decentralized Hackathon is underway
The Decentralized Hackathon will take place online over two intensive weekends. Participants can choose from three types of challenges: creating useful tools for other developers, documenting programming languages, or writing informative articles about blockchain and Bitcoin. Teams of up to six people will have access to support and feedback from mentors. An interactive virtual platform will be available to access useful resources, share ideas, and collaborate in real time.
The best projects in each category will receive prizes and recognition from the hackathon organizers, sponsors, and collaborators. Prizes include hosting for deploying the projects, training to enhance skills, and promotion in specialized media . Sponsors and collaborators include AGM, Sitios Hispanos, 4Geeks, and Learn SQL. Spanish organizations such as PythonEs and LinuxEnEspañol are also participating.
Registration is open to programmers, developers, technical writers, and technology enthusiasts of all experience levels. They state that no prior knowledge of blockchain is required, nor is prior team experience necessary.
