ASRock motherboards have been updated with support for Intel Raptor Lake

The Intel Raptor Lake processors are expected to launch sometime this year. This generation, following Alder Lake, will feature improved L2 and L3 caches thanks to a better redistribution of core clusters. It will continue to use the LGA 1700 socket, meaning motherboards already compatible with Alder Lake will also be compatible with Raptor Lake.

But before they are fully supported, it is necessary to update the BIOS so that it recognizes Raptor Lake and takes full advantage of its features. Motherboard manufacturers are going to be updating their LGA 1700 socket Intel motherboard series to add such Raptor Lake support, and ASRock has been the latest to release such BIOS update.

Intel 600 AsRock motherboards are updated for Raptor Lake

New BIOS updates for Intel 600 motherboards to support Raptor Lake are now available for download. Those who own a compatible ASRock motherboard can flash their BIOS via EZ update/setting, using a USB flash drive and the BIOS flashback button, or using UEFI.

The list of motherboards compatible with the version required for Raptor Lake is shown below. Installing this update is recommended because it may also include vulnerability fixes and prepare your motherboard for future CPU upgrades.
