Chromium-based Edge now lets you digitally sign PDF documents
A few weeks ago Windows 10 2004 began to be distributed, a distribution that has generated many problems. But it also hid an interesting novelty, the installation for all of Microsoft Edge based on Chromium. The new Microsoft browser it has the ability to support extensions developed for Google Chrome. Well, they have worked on offering more add-ons to Edge, including the digital signature of PDF documents.
Microsoft's browser adds the functions of 'read aloud', 'ink in PDF', 'fill in PDF forms' and now 'sign PDF'. So many of the features that required paying for the Adobe suit are now free thanks to Microsoft. What the company is looking for is to develop a multipurpose browser that offers everything users want

Microsoft Edge allows signing PDF
To verify the security of the signature, a watermark is added behind it that allows its verification. When we use Edge, we get a message that tells us that the PDF can be digitally signed. What's more, the browser itself invites us to sign the PDF to avoid illegal copies and falsifications of the same contract.
With the intention of offering great security, the signature can include timestamp, location and other valuable data. All this avoids a possible falsification or manipulation of the document after being digitally signed.
The works still have limited access, being available in Edge Canary right now. Those who meet this requirement, must go to Edge: // flags and enable the option "Enable digital signature for PDF"
Microsoft has truly achieved something that ten years ago seemed quite difficult: to return to being the leading company in the market. Apple succeeded in moving over to Microsoft a few years ago, when it was run by Steve Ballmer. With Satya Nadella at the helm, the company has managed to change course and become a leading company again.
