Gigabyte presents its version of the GTX 1080 Ti, which it has called the Gigabyte AORUS GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition, with the WindForce 3X heatsink with RGB LED lighting.
Since the introduction of the NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti, we have been seeing the different versions of the assemblers that work with NVIDIA, with heatsinks for all tastes and colors. After seeing those of ASUS, MSI, Inno3D or KFA2, we wondered where the Gigabyte was and finally it has already deigned to show its face. Gigabyte adds this graphics card to its range of advanced products, called AORUS, where we find high-end components, with unique features.
Gigabyte AORUS GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition is Gigabyte's proposal. As we can see, it uses the WindForce 3X than the GTX 1080, which has two large fans in front and the third, the central one, is slightly behind the other two, without the blades touching. We imagine that this will not have the two HDMI that the GTX 1080 incorporates, which Gigabyte specified that they were intended to be used in special front panels for virtual reality systems.
We do not have data on whether this graphics card will have specific improvements, such as factory overclocking, but it would not be unusual. This other graphics card, in the central area has a blade with RGB LEDs, which we can customize to taste and logically synchronize with the lighting of our Gigabyte motherboard. Possibly there will be no differences in the connectors, incorporating an HDMI and three DisplayPort, as presented by NVIDIA.
The GTX 1080 Ti has a GP102 GPU, a chip which has 3584 CUDA Cores, working at a base frequency of the GPU of 1480MHz and a Boost mode of 1582MHz. This graphics card has 11GB of GDDR5X memory and a consumption of 250W. It is thanks to the 8 + 6-pin PCI power supply, which allows us to raise the frequency of this graphics card without major problems up to 2GHz and without the need for an improved heatsink.
