Intel Coffee Lake Processor Supply Issues Appear

It seems that Intel's Coffee Lake processors are becoming scarce, especially with the arrival of the ninth generation.

A few days ago we commented that Intel could have problems to supply processors based on 14nm due to the problems regarding the development of the 10nm lithography not going as well as expected, this is a problem especially in terms of supply of processors. It seems that problems have started to occur with the Intel Core Coffee Lake and it is that these would begin to be very difficult to find in the market.

Intel's Coffee Lake processors are becoming scarce.

Not only the problems with the 10nm lithography is the origin of the problem, it is also a problem that we are developing the ninth generation processors and that is that in the market we would have the Skylake, Skylake-X, Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake and now those of the ninth generation based on 14nm and this means distributing the 14nm lithography on too many fronts.

Tom's Hardware highlighted that core i5 8400, Core i5 8600K and Core i7 8700K processors are starting to see supply issues. This could lead to an increase in the price of these processors. Although at first there was talk of demand, the problem does not have to do with demand but with excessive compartmentalization as we have mentioned and the arrival of the ninth generation processors.

Intel will launch the Core i9 9900K, Core i7 9700K and Core i5 9600K, of which the company wants to have enough supply to ensure good availability, especially for the Christmas period of 2018, which is when more technology is sold and try to cut the bleeding of market share that AMD is stealing with its Ryzen.

It should be noted that the ninth-generation processors, despite arriving with the Z390 chipset motherboards, could or will in theory also be compatible with the Z370 chipset.
