The latest version of Ubuntu 19.10 is now available for download

Available the latest distribution of Ubuntu 19.10, the most recent distribution from Canonical that implements some pretty important new features.

Today the new version of Ubuntu is available, specifically today Ubuntu 19.10 'Eoan Ermine' is launched. The new distro is the last one to arrive before the version with extended support. Those who use Ubuntu 19.04 version will be able to upgrade directly to this new version. Those using 18.04LTS should wait for Ubuntu 20.04, Canonical's next LTS.

More and more users are they bet on free software, an alternative to Windows 10. Some claim that it is for security, others for privacy or because it is more agile. Microsoft knows this and now offers Windows 10 for free without some features and with a watermark in the lower right corner. But even so, free software is gaining acceptance.

Ubuntu 19.10, releases many new features

The new version of Canonical's operating system integrates NVIDIA's proprietary drivers within the same ISO. Basically what this allows is within the installation screen to select the installation of the latest NVIDIA driver. It's a feature that makes the installation process quite easy. Canonical notes that this makes it easier for gamers to install and also to adopt.

Recall that a few months ago it was quite messy because Ubuntu 19.10 lost support for 32bits. Valve came out to criticize the decision and announce that it would stop collaborating with Canonical. This is because Steam makes use of 32bits in many games. For that, the Legacy software function has been integrated for platforms such as Steam and WINE. Thus 32-bit libraries are supported, which are already being abandoned.
