Doom 64 will be relaunched on consoles and PC
Doom 64 returns for consoles and PC, although it will first come out on Nintendo Switch. It will arrive in November on the Nintendo console, and then it will be seen.
In the Nintendo Direct last night, one of the announcements that surprised was the return of the classic Doom 64. As its name suggests, it is the installment of Doom that came out on the Nintendo 64 a little over 20 years ago.
Doom returns, again, although with a version that has not been reissued
While the original Doom has been released on countless consoles (even in a Lidl kitchen robot taking advantage of the fact that it has an Android tablet), this installment of the Nintendo 64 stayed on that console and that's it. It is not known if for rights, complications to port the game or any other reason ...
There is no official way to play Doom 64 unless you have a cartridge and the console. At least until now because they have announced that that game will receive a relaunch on Nintendo Switch throughout the month of November.
But it seems that the re-release will not be limited to Nintendo's console. Apparently it is a temporary exclusivity and after a few months it will be available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. At least according to what we saw in age-based ratification bodies that put the game on PlayStation 4, and according to Bethesda's social networks that say that "it would be great" to have the game on other consoles.
