AMD Ryzen 7000 non-X range would arrive in early 2023
For several weeks now, the high-end AMD Ryzen 7000 series has been available . With this, AMD enters the DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0 market for improved transfer speeds and memory frequencies. That's great, but these processors are only available in the top-of-the-line models, which, as you can see, appeal only to those who want the latest technology and can afford it. Therefore, a mid-range option, such as non-X AMD Ryzen 7000 CPUs at more affordable prices, would be sorely missed.
Recent rumors have suggested that AMD will launch more affordable non-X Ryzen 7000 processors in early 2023. They could potentially be announced at CES, which is scheduled to take place early next year. According to a new source, there will be at least three new processors, priced between $229 and $429.
AMD Ryzen 7000 non-X would soon arrive for those who are looking for something mid-range
According to the website VideoCardz, a Twitter leaker claims that at least three non-X processors will be released in the first quarter . These would be an AMD Ryzen 9 7900, an AMD Ryzen 7 7700, and an AMD Ryzen 5 7600.
Assuming they have the same core and thread counts as their X counterparts, the Ryzen 9 chip will reportedly hit 5,4GHz. Meanwhile, the 7-core Ryzen 7700 8 would hit 5,3GHz. 5-core Ryzen 6 would top out at 5,1 GHz. In general, boost clock speeds are around 0,1 to 0,2 GHz lower than X chips. All of them should come with a TDP of 65 W before overclocking is taken into account.
As for the price, the Ryzen 9 7900 is claimed to cost $429 at launch, about $120 less than the Ryzen 9 7900X. The Ryzen 7 7700 will cost $329, about $70 less than the X version. Finally, the Ryzen 5 7600 could cost $229, also $70 less than its X-series counterpart.
