Intel LGA 1159 for Comet Lake-S processors, two sockets for the new processors?
There's been a lot of talk lately about Intel's Comet Lake-S processors. If all goes according to plan, we could see these processors at CES 2020 in Las Vegas, or at least their official announcement. The company's new CPUs will come with the LGA 1200 socket, although a new leak suggests a different socket altogether. This new socket will be LGA 1159, eliminating a single pin.
The way in which Intel works is not liked at all by a significant part of users. AMD has made it clear that a socket can be maintained for four generations and with backward compatibility. It allows to update the processors in a simple way and saving us the cost of the motherboard.

Within the CPU-Z software, which shows us the specifications of the processors, the Intel LGA 1159 socket has been seen. This is the first time that we have seen information about this new socket that would be linked to Comet Lake-S. As is logical, this information is giving a lot to talk about.
Both this socket and the Intel LGA 1200 appear to be developed for Comet Lake-S processors. A leak that appears after data from the company's new processors was revealed. Theoretically we will have an enthusiast version of processors with a TDP of 125W, a mainstream version of 65W and a low consumption version of 35W.
According to the data we have, the K-Series processors will be the most powerful and have overclocking support. Models without an identifier will be the general version, without overclocking and with somewhat cut frequencies. Finally we will have the T-Series, which are low-power processors with cut frequencies.
With these processors will come at least four different chipsets. For low power processors it will be the H410, for the mainstream range we will have the B460 and for the enthusiast range we will have the H570 and Z490. For the H410 and B460 chipsets we will have the PCH-V range and for the Z490 and H470 we will have the PCH-H.
The LGA 1159 socket will have the support of the B46 and H410 chipset, intended for simple processors. On the other hand, the LGA 1200 socket will be accompanied by the Z490 and H470 chipset, in addition to the W480 (Workstation) and Q470 (Intel vPro) chipset.
Relax, we are just as lost as you with all this. As always, they are rumors and data that we don't know much about.
